- This paper presents the first ever multi-messenger observation of a binary neutron star merger. I contributed to the writing and editing of the text of this paper, and in particular the sections that described the timeline of electromagnetic and gravitational-wave observations. I also led the effort to ensure that the paper presented a clear, accurate and consistent overview of the multi-messenger observations of this seminal discovery.
