- This paper is significant in introducing a new equivalence relation for fuzzy transition systems. This relation is much coarser than those previously studied allowing more states to be equated and thus inducing a model of smaller size, amenable to further verification. It is shown that the relation admits a polynomial-time algorithm to decide whether two states are equivalent, as well as a sound and complete logical characterisation. These features distinguish the work from the state of the art.
