- Funded by both Agri-Tech in China: Newton Network UK (LG005) and the National Key Research and Development Program of China (grant 2018YFD0200803), this project boosted collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). For the first time, a UAV equipped with hyperspectral imaging system was applied for potato above-ground biomass evaluation and yield forecast. Further support has been received from the Xisen Group Ltd, one of the largest potato producer in China, to continue developing the prediction model for industrial application (contact Dr. Baigeng Hu, hubaigeng@163.com).
