- Double-weighted statement
- This is an over 900pp volume, which is now the standard guide to and analysis of early medieval coinage in Britain and Ireland, and the role of money in early medieval society and the economy. Naismith brings a wealth of expertise to bear on the subject (numismatic, historical, archaeological), the volume will be the standard guide to the subject for both specialists and non-specialists for the foreseeable future. The volume has as an appendix a catalogue of one of the most complete coin collections in the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
