- The control strategy reported in this paper has been implemented in a software platform for industrial microgrids - iEnergy , developed by an Italian technology company, Kesitaly (http://www.kesitaly.it/index.php/en/solutions-and-services/115-ienergy-2) through collaboration on the FP7 European project eGOTHAM, 2012-2015 (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/107033/factsheet/en). It was tested and validated in the district heating network of Ylivieska (Finland), showing 7.5% cost saving over current systems. The work led to invited talks at United Technology Research Center, Ireland; Honeywell Data-Centric Technology Group, Czech Republic, and Sandia National Laboratories, USA, and to the award of the European EIT project "Microgrid Operation and ICT Solutions" 2013-2014 (110k€).
