- Double-weighted statement
- Fichte’s Republic engages with texts from almost all phases of Fichte’s philosophical development as presented in the recently completed 42 volume critical edition (Gesamtausgabe) of his writings. Some of the texts have yet to be translated into English and so I had to translate any passages drawn from them. My research for the book also involved reading and discussing secondary literature in French and German as well as some in English. The book itself contains substantially revised versions of two articles previously published in highly regarded journals, the Review of Metaphysics and History of Political Thought.
