- Immersive listening to virtual reality scenes requires methods for obtaining audio signals that are rich in spatial information from simulated sound fields. This paper presents the first method to render binaural responses from modelled finite difference time domain data. The work was a key reference in the successful €3.9M EC Horizon Project (https://vrace-etn.eu/) on Virtual Reality Audio for Cyber Environments with QUB as a consortium member.
