- Additional information
- A new Android OS-based mobile application emerged from this research paper on the calculation of the energy/power consumed by various services, applications and wireless communications. The research is the first and only work in the literature that can calculate the amount of energy consumed by different wireless networking technologies and let devices perform vertical handover based on energy efficiency between these networks. The research was supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (£235K - Grant number 114E251) in the scope of a project entitled “An Energy-Efficient Channel Scanning and Media-Independent Handover Framework in Wireless Heterogeneous Networks”.
