- Double-weighted statement
- The research considers a neglected canon of important Scottish and English paintings of rural labour in the second half of the nineteenth century, set in the context of works in France and Holland, to offer an interpretation of a distinctive and coherent Calvinist centred visual identity. The 194 page, 70000 word volume was a distillation of work over several years and was written in 2014, published in 2015.
