- This is collaborative work with the French CEA laboratory responsible for developing means of safely disposing of nuclear waste. It led to a successful bid to EPSRC (EP/M011135/1) to fund a postdoc working on this topic with CEA as partner and led to an invitation (Donnelly) to lecture at a Joint ICTP-IAEA Workshop (2016). (http://indico.ictp.it/event/7633/material/4/). The postdoc, Anamul Mir, has now obtained his own EPSRC fellowship, was subsequently invited to deliver an invited lecture at a second Joint ICTP-IAEA Workshop in 2017 (http://indico.ictp.it/event/8002/) and now leads a multinational IAEA co-ordinated project.
