- This represents the final version of a multi-year project which took its source in human vision research (physiology and perception) done in the 1990's which had yet to be implemented as a computational method and its usefulness demonstrated in various applications. The journal article follows a series of shorter conference papers where the model was developed and applied to various applications domains including articulated movement, plant identification, animation with swarms (optimisation technique), the later winning best paper prize at EvoMusArt 2019. The work was in part funded in the context of a large EU project (CEEDs : https://ceeds-project.eu/ ).
