- Additional information
- This is founded on Miller’s Cristobal Balenciaga (1895-1972): The Couturier's Couturier (V&A, 2007), but substantially enlarges it by c. 15,000 words to present new research by her that corrects/amplifies the factual basis. The new material consists of:
• at least 50% of the introduction (new material on Cecil Beaton; interviews with haute couture practitioners);
• 118 of the 150 images, plus substantial captions;
• a completely revamped final chapter;
• five 'In focus' sections;
• appendix of Balenciaga's textile suppliers (more detailed than any published elsewhere), compiled with the help of an MA student supervised by Miller;
• extended glossary.
