- Generations, Political Participation and Social Change in Western Europe is a research monograph that emerged out of at least six full years of research. The research entailed access to a variety of literature sources and international datasets on political participation- a complex and multifaceted phenomenon analysed here particularly from the generational perspective. This involved an analysis of which datasets were most relevant, verification of quality of coverage for a variety of relevant variables for study across ten Western European democracies, and extensive advanced quantitative analysis of this data including cutting edge techniques such as generalised additive modelling with R software.
