- Double-weighted statement
- This is nearly 500 pages long, and based on substantial original research. Researched at several archives including the NCCL (now Liberty), archives at the University of Hull and the Labour Party archives in London, but mostly at the public archives in Kew. Most of the material was not released until recently, and we were able to make use of a large number of original documents for the book, including several files on surveillance of the Communist Party and its members. The project took seven years due to the amount of archival research required.
