- This monograph is the product of seven years’ research and reflection, having started life as the author’s PhD thesis and having undergone significant updates in the years between completion of the thesis in 2013 and publication as a monograph. It analyses the jurisprudence of five contemporary international criminal tribunals, as well as drawing on authority from historical international criminal tribunals and international and regional human rights bodies. It offers a detailed analysis of the right to a fair trial and its application in the prosecution of international crimes, advancing innovative and insightful ideas on its theoretical and practical dimensions.
