- This book is an extended study (256 pages) of the writings and theology of St Jerome. It analyses a large body of material: Jerome's written output between 386 and 393 CE. Each of its 9 chapters has the research depth and analytical complexity of an academic article. Combined, chapters 1-4 are the length of a short monograph and offer a sustained analysis of the theology of Jerome's commentaries on Paul.
