- Between Probability and Certainty offers a new answer to one of the central questions in epistemology - what is it for a belief to be justified? Between Probability and Certainty was written over 18 months, including six months of AHRC leave and six months of institutional leave. The book engages with a broad range of literature in philosophy, legal theory, psychology, linguistics and other fields, citing 219 different sources. Material for the book was presented on at least ten separate occasions at workshops, conferences and departmental colloquia and feedback and input was received from numerous scholars.
