- Double-weighted statement
- This scholarly monograph situates all of Pynchon's work published at the time of writing, in the context of the philosophy, politics and ethics of the Frankfurt school (especially Adorno), Foucault and Wittgenstein. Pynchon’s writing is complex, lengthy and erudite and this monograph engages closely and in a sustained manner with the equally complex interface between literature and this body of philosophy.
