- This longer-form output of 368pp on Mina Loy’s writings on the avant-garde demonstrates sustained research effort in its collection and analysis of a large body of primary historical material related to Futurism, Dada, Surrealism, Degenerate Art as well as Loy’s published and unpublished writings and 21stc. legacies. The author collected data from hundreds of printed sources, including early C20th American press, Nazi cultural policy, and Loy’s archive at Yale University Library. This extended research process enabled in-depth critical investigation of transnational modernism across different cultural and historical contexts in a monograph of 14 chapters (total word length 188,000 words).
