- This book drew on a wide use of difficult to access primary sources, involving numerous visits to laboratories conducting research on colour perception (Lars Chittka (Queen Mary London) bee vision lab, David Tolhurst (Cambridge) human psychophysics lab, Qasim Zaidi (Ophthalmology, CUNY) human psychophysics lab, Fred Kingdom (McGill Vision Research) human psychophysics lab). The research was conducted over a period of 9 years, funded through two postdoctoral awards (from 2005 – 9) and a Wellcome Trust award (2010-11)
