- This chapter - published in Digital Echoes: Spaces for Intangible and Performance-based Cultural Heritage (London: Palgrave, 2018), eds. Whatley and Dostic Cisneros - draws on original research undertaken through a NESTA-funded project between Yorkshire Dance, University of Leeds and Breakfast Creatives. Within this partnership, Griffiths undertook empirical research relating to the practice of dance in virtual environments, translating this to non- dance specialist colleagues. It draws on Griffith’s expertise and contributes knowledge to choreographic expertise and dance-based theories. This is brought together through an interweaving with studies in audience engagement. Drafting and editing were undertaken collaboratively.
