- Additional information
- This volume is an interdisciplinary (history and literature), focusing on the topic of Universal Chronicles in both Europe and the Arab worlds, with chapters on chronicles in Arabic, Latin, Middle High German and Old English, Old French. Michele Campopiano conceived the volume and the thematic structure on the basis of the project for which he received a British Academy Grant. The individual pieces are original and includes topics in which Campopiano does not work directly. Michele Campopiano and Henry Bainton proposed the volume to the press, edited the chapters and oversaw the copyediting and indexing. Michele Campopiano wrote the introduction and chapter 5.
