- This paper had a major influence on structural integrity and robustness of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) structures. It is the first paper to have considered importance of tying the FRP members to prevent failure disproportionate to the original cause. A new empirical equation was proposed to find out tying capacity of FRP members in buildings. The results are both significant and novel because they provide a new method for ensuring robustness of FRP structures.
