- This monograph (344 pages, 236 illustrations, 34 contributors) reports on and interprets four major seasons of excavation, each season with a team of c. 20 excavators. These were key elements of one of the most extensive fieldwork projects ever undertaken in Scotland. The monograph includes a comprehensive account of the excavations, artefacts, ecofacts and dating (with 151 C14 dates), and a substantial interpretation fully contextualised in the development of Neolithic and Bronze Age society across Scotland and beyond.
