- The behaviour of unsaturated soils is numerically predicted and subsequently experimentally verified, thereby enabling practical application, e.g. for analysing safety of tailings dams. The model is currently being implemented into the widely-used finite element software CODE_BRIGHT. The research underpinned the award of Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA-IF-2015-706712) and an Invited Keynote Lecture at the Eduardo Alonso Symposium.
