- ESBMC is based on rigorous underlying techniques; it was the first C model-checker to use Satisfiability Modulo Theory solvers in its implementation. Our earlier work had developed ways of using ESBMC to reason about unbounded problems modeled in Linear Temporal Logic using a novel four-component correctness lattice. Here, we describe how we have fused ESBMC into the mainstream of C/C++ tool development by using and improving the Clang LLVM front-end.This work has also been reflected in presentations to industry meetings including FOSDEM, EuroLLVM, and the Google Summer of Code.
