- The paper technical content led to US and Canadian patents, US 10,312,780 and CA 2,911,274 respectively on segmented rotors for double rotor switched reluctance machines, an important process to achieve high volume machine manufacture. The patents form part of the patent portfolio of a Canadian start-up company, Enedym Inc., a supplier of magnet-less electric machines into the hybrid and all-electric automotive and aerospace market sectors. Early exploitation is an e-bike traction system for a Canadian OEM.
