- This work will enable tests of General Relativity (GR) using the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope (when built). By implementing novel algorithms on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) we can identify interesting signals in the vast amount of data collected by the SKA in real-time. The work has been presented at several international conferences (GTC 2017/2018/2019, ADASS XXV/XXVII), and has delivered impact through cost savings of over GBP1,000,000 (OpEx) and GBP5,000,000 (CapEx) for SKA. Significance is in enabling tests of GR that cannot be performed without it, the results of which will potentially change our fundamental understanding of our Universe.
