- This paper is a key output from an EPSRC Industrial Doctorate Centre STREAM EngD, co-sponsored by Northumbrian Water. The work has informed the design of the company's Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) scheme in North Tyneside (Andrew Moore, andrew.moore@nwl.co.uk). It has contributed to Casal-Campos's appointment with Ofwat. The work led to the Chartered Institution of Water & Environmental Management commissioning us to analyse and derive conclusions and policy implications from their national 'Big SuDS Survey'. The topic was taken forward as a significant theme of the EPSRC project Urban Flood Resilience in an Uncertain Future (EP/P004318/1, PI: Butler).
