- I’m Working Here: The Collected Poems of Anna Mendelssohn (Shearsman, 2020) is the first replete collection of the poems author and artist Mendelssohn published or prepared for circulation. This substantial edition (792pp) follows its subject through 1970s radicalism (when she was imprisoned due to her association with The Angry Brigade), through to her later establishment as a highly regarded avant-garde poet. Consisting of over 500 pages of poetry, and the result of ten years of research in the Mendelssohn archive at Sussex (a donation facilitated by Crangle), it includes Crangle’s 47,000-word introduction, and 70,000 words of editorial information and annotation.
