- <01>Led to the formation of consortium involving Ulster University, University of York and University of Manchester who submitted a follow-on bid to EPSRC (EP/V053981/1). First author (Liu) was appointed to lecturer at Ulster University (2019); fifth author (Johnson) appointed Senior Lecturer at University of Huddersfield (2019), and sixth author (Alan Millard) appointed Lecturer at University of Lincoln (2020). The paper is the basis for the funded PhD student Natasha Hamilton (started 2020). Led to a new consortium involving Ulster University, National University of Ireland Galway, and Kansas State University, and successfully co-funded US-Ireland (STL/5521/19) and Medical Research Council grant (MC_PC_20021).
