- This is a monograph of 130,000 words covering the pragmatics, ethics and discourse analysis of untruthfulness in public discourse. It not only develops a complex model for analysing and judging untruthfulness in discourse (TRUST, or Trust-Related Untruthfulness in Situated Text) but also an analytical heuristic to aid analysis of putative cases of untruthfulness. The model and book have been developed over a period of ten years.
