- This single author volume took five years to produce on invitation from the publishers/ series editors to provide a new synthesis of Marsden’s long-running empirical and conceptual work on agri-food and rural development over the past 25 years. The book utilises a complex theoretical framework from the fields of rural development and agri-food studies It further develops an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to agri-food and rural development studies, and more generally sustainable place-making. In doing so it brings together much of the authors and collaborators work in a series of externally funding projects extending back to the 1990s- 2017.
