- This is a publication from the international industrially-funded research project GeoPO3 (http://www.geopop.org.uk/; 20013-2016, £2.25m) led by Durham and Newcastle Universities multidisciplinary pore pressure research team. The research provided a viable mechanism to solve the fundamental issue of how to create strain localisation that is so commonly observed in structural geology. The success of this project has led has led to further funding of GeoPOP4 (£450k) building upon and integrating key successes of GeoPOP3.
