- Double-weighted statement
- This book's project of radically rethinking Renaissance drama involved engagement with a wide range of less-known primary texts, notably a close analysis of five less-often read plays by Marston, Middleton, Massinger, Shirley and Dryden. It draws, too, on very detailed lexical research. The author's extensive research on theological contexts has resulted in an exhaustive bibliography of Protestant theologians.
