- This book resulted from the collection and analysis on a large body of both primary and secondary material which enabled this theme to be studied from different perspectives - both the naval and aeronautical schools of thought - over a 30 year time span. This longer-form output allowed the analysis of the application of maritime air power by a number of states which is underpinned by an appreciation of geo-strategic setting of those states. The collaboration by authors with expertise in air power and the maritime sphere enabled a greater appreciation of the challenges of operating in the maritime environment.
