- The paper proposes a novel solution for increasing loss resilience during video broadcasting that can happen due to packet losses over a network. The method exploits the fact that different portions of the encoded H264 video have different importance for video quality. The proposed method was used for multimedia broadcasting comparing the performance of two well-known error protection codes under realistic loss scenarios for Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H). This work resulted in two follow-up publications in prestigious conferences, ICIP, and ICASSP. This research was in collaboration with a researcher from University of Novi Sad, Serbia.
