- C.R.W. Nevinson: The Complete Prints is the first substantial publication on the English artist since the 1930s. Commissioned by Lund Humphries and the Osborne Samuel Gallery following Jonathan Black’s earlier doctoral research on Nevinson, the 70,000 word monograph and catalogue raisonné necessitated extensive primary research: Black consulted archives and collections including the Tate Gallery, Imperial War Museum, National Art Library, London Transport Museum, Fine Art Society and New Bodleain Library to unearth press clippings, diaries, correspondence, exhibitions and sales histories, and artworks. Black also corresponded with New York Public Library and Harvard and Yale university library to obtain primary material.
