- Double-weighted statement
- The book develops a comprehensive theoretical framework the significance and credibility of which is greatly enhanced by the fact that it covers a lot of territory. This required a great deal of time—to fully develop the ideas in the work required an investment of effort far in excess a normal single research output. Consequently the book has been described as throwing fresh light on the underlying structure of the law. It provides original insight into the operation of the law and a tool to make sense of contradicting legal judgments in patent, copyright and trademark law.
