- The product of six years of research, this 294-page book covers both culture and religion. It charts the intersection of a culture of aesthetic decadence and London-based Christianity over the period 1885-1901. It aims to fill a gap in the literature on the fin de siècle by surveying its religious landscape. Preparation involved extensive primary research, drawing from newspapers and periodicals of the period as well as the key individuals’ publications, in addition to an extensive range of secondary literature.
