- There have been a lot of efforts to meet demand with renewable resources. Hydroelectric systems are very good candidates for this purpose since they are dispatchable and environment friendly units. However, there are several challenges in their operation. Enough water needs to be available in order to produce the desired output. In this paper we developed a framework that takes into account uncertainty in net load and water inflows when operating a hydroelectric system. We quantified how conservative the proposed solution is by comparing it with the outcome if perfect forecast information is available
