- Accurate heat recovery and power targeting models are crucial in industrial design and retrofit projects to achieve energy saving. The significance of this work is to develop an accurate graphical approach to quantify site steam targeting of practical systems. The research was applied by an industrial partner Bayer in Germany based on EC Project EFENIS (contract ENER/FP7/296003/EFENIS, 2012-2015). The graphical methods presented in the paper have been embedded in the software ‘START’ and ‘SPRING’ developed by the University of Manchester.
