- One of the first contributions to consider the performance of cooperative communications networks in the context of human behaviour and reciprocity, which is frequently overlooked. This paper is notable in its rigorous interdisciplinary approach to evaluating device-to-device communication networks, combining detailed models from wireless engineering with agent-based models of decentralised cooperation. The research was funded by EPSRC (EP/L026074/1) with support from Supercomputing Wales allowing extensive simulation.
