- Excerpts from email received from the publisher: "This paper was first received on 15 October 2019, but we took a long time to return peer review comments to you because of (i) the UCU strike action in the UK and (ii) the coronavirus outbreak. The suites of measures taken to deal with COVID-19, not to mention the virus itself, limited capacity everywhere. Prior to 2020 we aimed to turn around papers within 3-4 months of submission; the fact that it took 14 months from first submission to manuscript acceptance is indicative of the significant impact recent events have had."
