- The paper presented a novel open-source 3D smart home simulator (www.openshs.org) for researchers in smart homes to test and evaluate models. This work led to KTP Grant (£103,516, KTP12379) with VR Simulation Systems Limited to develop digital training packages for crime scene investigation. Sedky was subsequently invited as a keynote speaker at: IBM Making Industry 4.0 Work, Sheffield, 2020; Big Data Industry Expo, Guiyang, China, 2018; 7th Innovation in Ports – the Gateway to The Future, Alexandria, Egypt, 2018; and IEEE Global Conference on Internet of Things GCIOT, Alexandria, Egypt, 2017.
