- Paper proposes, defines and implements a new protocol (Deadline Floor, DF) for resource sharing between concurrent real-time systems scheduled using the EDF (Earliest Deadline First) scheme (which is the most efficient single processor scheme, and is well studied in the real-time literature). The DF protocol replaces (out performs) the existing Stack Resource (SR) protocol and will be included in the next definition of the Ada Programming Language.
