- This monograph is the result of a sustained research effort involving over 50 in-depth elite interviews conducted in person with current and former politicians and other relevant stakeholders across three different regions in Spain(the Basque Country, Catalonia and Madrid) during several fieldwork trips over the period 2014-2019. Obtaining these interviews also involved extensive on-the-ground networking efforts. The monograph assesses the ways in which territorial politics influenced post-2008 party system reshaping at the national level. It thus constitutes an in-depth study of both regional and national politics in Spain and their interrelationship that required extensive research at different governmental levels.
