- Double-weighted statement
- This is the first book to examine the legitimacy, social lives, lifestyles, ideologies, and families of the richest 0.1 per cent of Russians under Vladimir Putin. It is based on unique empirical data collected between 2008 and 2017: 80 interviews with billionaires (about a third of the sample) and multimillionaires, as well as their spouses and adult children. It mixes different interview techniques - semi-structured/unstructured, lasting from half an hour to four hours - with observations that were ethnographically-informed and over a hundred expert interviews.
