- This first experimental demonstration of a novel amplification technique led to a strong international collaboration was established with Instituto de Óptica, Spain (j.d.ania@csic.es) within a 4M Euro Marie Curie ITN project (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/608099). This collaboration culminated in the principle investigators co-authored a book chapter (https://doi.org/10.1002/9781119088134.ch15, ISBN: 9781119088127) based on 8 joint journal and 12 international conference publications. Dr Harper published 3 additional independent papers (e.g. https://doi.org/10.1109/JLT.2018.2819078) and 10 international conference papers. The lead author of this specific paper (Tan) also wrote a book chapter (ISBN 978-1-78923-499-2) and gained significant exposure through invited talks at international conferences (https://doi.org/10.1109/ICTON.2019.8840568, https://doi.org/10.1364/CLEOPR.2018.F2F.2, https://doi.org/10.1109/OECC.2017.8114962, https://doi.org/10.1109/ICTON.2017.8025050).
