- A method is developed to measure the rate of barrier adsorption-desorption of surfactants. The barrier process is shown to control the adsorption kinetics under high mixing rate. Our method is of significant industrial relevance as the alternative techniques are suitable for "laboratory" diffusion regime only. The work was featured on the back cover of Soft Matter. It is the result of a new international collaboration with the laboratory of E. Mileva, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, funded by the Bulgarian Science Fund. This team has just submitted a related proposal to EPSRC (EP/V042815/1). An important follow-up publication has been submitted (JCIS-20-5786).
